License plates, huh...?...

Well I wasn't planning on it, but isn't that how some of the best things happen?  This whole thing started when my mom mentioned to me that her friends in a retirement community couldn't find their walkers among all the other identical walkers parked outside the dining room. I thought, hmmm... I can come up with something...

I have worked with laser marking machines for over 20 years and I managed the art department at a promotional products company.  So I created some license plates from lacquer coated aluminum for a couple of her friends. It wasn't long before I started getting requests for more. So I thought, hmmm... maybe I'm on to something...

I had always thought about selling my artwork on Etsy, but I never thought that this idea would really take off like it did. Now I'm just trying to find the time to add more of my art creations to my shop. I really enjoy the whole process from designing the plates to laser engraving to shipping them out the door. I really feel like I've accomplished something at the end of the day when I see the finished product.
